Eleven corrections to things we said badly the first time. Cut to tape in a decommissioned print shop over one long February — brass, bad weather, and all.

Footnotes, played loud
The Marginalia started as a rumor in the back of a used bookshop: five people who met arguing over the last copy of a water-damaged poetry collection and decided the argument sounded better with drums. Since 2019 they have made what one zine called “librarian punk with a horn section” — songs built like annotations, scribbled in the margins of bigger, louder feelings.
Errata & Other Love Songs is their third full-length and their most deliberate mess. It was tracked live to tape in the composing room of a shuttered letterpress shop, where the room tone still smells faintly of solvent. You can hear the building on the record: radiators in “Recall Notice,” a freight elevator somewhere under “Set in Sorts.”
The band remains: June Okafor (voice, baritone guitar), Wren Calloway (drums, typewriter), Sam Petrossian (bass), Ada Lindqvist (trombone, tape loops), and Theo Marsh (keys, pump organ). They tour with their own PA and a suitcase of misprinted merch, and they would like you to know the typos are intentional.
